For too long, Australian veterinary practices have paid inflated prices for sterile-packaged sutures. Vetsutures was established to change that: to give vets a comprehensive range of premium-quality surgical sutures at the lowest sensible cost, without ever compromising on surgical performance.
Our sutures are our point of difference. They are manufactured in Italy by one of Europe's most respected suture makers, drawing on decades of specialist manufacturing experience. Production takes place entirely within a certified clean room, under constant control of cleaning and quality parameters, using carefully selected raw materials and validated production processes.
Made to global standards
Every Vetsutures suture is produced in Italy in an ISO-certified facility. The manufacturing process combines technological automation with skilled, specialised craftsmanship, and each production batch is released only after rigorous laboratory control.
All sutures are certified to CE 0373, Class III, sterilised with ethylene oxide, and carry a five-year shelf life. The manufacturer is independently certified by DNV-GL to ISO 13485 for medical devices and ISO 9001 for quality management.
Drilled-end, not channel-end
Great suture material deserves a great needle. Across our entire range we use 302-series siliconized steel needles, chosen for their ductility, penetration and resistance to breakage, with performance that stays consistent pass after pass.

- Reduced tissue trauma and bleeding, with a needle-to-thread ratio kept as close to 1:1 as possible for the most atraumatic passage.
